Matronatació (4-30 months, with a parent in the water): Sat 9:45-10:30, 10:35-11:20 or 11:25-12:10. Curset iniciació (2-4.5 yrs): Wed and Fri 18:15-19:00, or Sat 10:00-10:45 / 11:00-11:45. Escola esportiva de natació (5-12 yrs): Mon, Wed and Fri 18:15-19:15, or Sat 9:45-10:45 / 11:00-12:00, one to three days a week (one-day families take Friday or Saturday).

One-to-one lessons (4 months-12 yrs) are €52/€63 a session, €223/€267 for five, €430/€516 for ten. Groups open with a minimum of 3 babies or 5 children.

What you need to know
Most swim schools sort children by age. Here a level test on the first day decides the group, so a confident seven-year-old isn't held back and a nervous nine-year-old isn't thrown in at the deep end. It is also one of the few programs at a Barceloneta members' club with a published non-member rate, and the same club can carry a child from a four-month parent-and-baby class all the way to its competitive squads.
