About
The Escola Municipal d'Hípica La Foixarda is Barcelona's municipal riding school, open since 1992 in the Foixarda area of Montjuïc, with stables, horses, ponies and outdoor arenas. Its instructors hold the official Catalan riding-coach qualification, and the school teaches all ages, including a Poni Club for ages 4 to 6 in groups of up to four. At Christmas it runs a riding casal for children and teenagers. Last year it was listed for ages 4 to 16 on December 22 and 23, December 29 and 30, and January 2 to 7. The dates shown are from 2025-26. The school has no casal page on its website and posts the details on Instagram (@hipicalafoixarda), so the 2026-27 dates, hours and price are not known yet.
