Hello from the very first KIDS.Barcelona newsletter! This project is a labor of love by two local dads, Ben and Rahim. Our goal is simple: to find the coolest, most accessible family events in the city and share them with you every Thursday morning.

We know navigating local events can be tricky, so we’ll always flag language requirements and prioritize English-friendly fun. This is a community effort, so if you have an event idea or feedback to make this better, hit reply or email us at: [email protected] and [email protected].

Coming up this weekend: A costume exchange, a construction games workshop, an annual circus show that Ben’s kids loved last year, and a few upcoming events we’re keeping our eyes on. Enjoy!

Ben Recommends All Ages 10€+ 2h Spanish and Catalan

The Raluy family has been running their circus for over 65 years. Ben took his kids to this last year, and they had a great time. Easily enjoyable in all languages. There is a 15 minute intermission.

Ages: 4+ 25-30€ 75min Catalan

In its twelfth year, this is the last weekend to catch the beloved classic on-stage in Catalan. Spaces are limited.

Ages: 4+ 10-14€ 60min Catalan

Who doesn’t love a magic show? Mag Stigman hosts a kids-friendly event. It’s in Catalan, but we think it should still be easy for non-speakers to follow along.

Traditional Mallorcan Puppet Show

All ages 5€, Free for kids under 3

See a traditional Mallorcan children’s puppet show, as part of Foguerons de Sant Antoni de sa Pobla a Gràcia, a beloved cultural exchange where the neighborhood of Gràcia adopts the traditions of the Mallorcan town, Sa Pobla.

Do your kids also love dress up? Have some costumes that no longer fit? This could be a perfect activity for them to try on a bunch of different costumes and even exchange what they already have for some new ones!

All Ages Free
