What you need to know
Kids learn by rehearsing for a real concert, with a date and an audience at the end of it.
- A private lesson and a band rehearsal every week on Rock 101 and up, so technique and playing with others are taught together
- A live show every few months, which is the whole point of the term rather than a nice extra
- Five entry points by age, from Little Wing at three to Performance at seventeen, and no experience is needed at any of them

About
A music school built around playing in a band rather than working through a method book. From age seven up, kids take one private lesson on their chosen instrument each week and one group rehearsal with the other kids in their band, then play the set live on a real stage every few months. The ladder starts at three with preschool music games, moves through a no-experience-needed group course at six, and runs up to teenage bands performing Queen, AC/DC and Oasis covers to an audience.
