Question 1

When is the next parade?

Accepted Answer

Pride Barcelona is every year, but the 2027 date and route are not announced yet. In 2026 it ran on Saturday, July 18, from Plaça Universitat up Gran Via to Plaça Tetuan, then down Passeig de Lluís Companys to the Arc de Triomf. This page gets updated when the 2027 details come out.

Question 2

What time should we arrive to get a decent spot?

Accepted Answer

In 2026 the parade started around 6pm. Aim to be on the route by 5pm if you want to be close, and bring water, a blanket or a folding stool for the wait.

Question 3

Is there anywhere to grab food or drinks while we're waiting?

Accepted Answer

The streets near Plaça Universitat have cafes and bars, but they fill up fast. Bring water and snacks, especially for young kids. Vendors along the route charge more and lines move slowly.

Question 4

How busy is the metro?

Accepted Answer

Universitat station gets crowded before the start, and Arc de Triomf (L1) is busy when the parade ends. Leave extra time, or walk a few blocks away from the route to catch a less packed stop.

Question 5

What's the vibe like with kids, and when should we leave?

Accepted Answer

The parade is loud, bright and full of costumes, but friendly. Head out after the parade ends rather than staying for the evening concerts, which are not made for families.
