About

Founded in 1932 and run by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the museum spans five sites: the Montjuïc galleries, the Greek and Roman ruins at Empúries, a Romanesque monastery in Girona, the hilltop settlement at Olèrdola, and the Iberian city of Ullastret. Family programming runs hands-on, from workshops in the Arqueolab to guided routes through the ruins.
