Question 1

What's actually good to see if my kids are under 10?

Accepted Answer

The theater, workshops, and family programming are your best bets, and they run during the day. The free open-air concerts at the Pride Village (Plaça Universitat) on July 17–18 are also a good daytime stop. Skip the nighttime parties and the parade itself if your kids get overwhelmed by crowds; the full program is on pridebarcelona.org.

Question 2

How do I get there with kids?

Accepted Answer

Take the metro to Universitat (L1, L2), which comes up right at the Pride Village in Plaça de la Universitat. Catalunya (L1, L3) and the FGC and Rodalies trains are a short walk too. Avoid driving: there's no easy parking by the Village and the area is packed on parade day.

Question 3

Is it safe and welcoming for kids and families?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pride Barcelona runs daytime family programming with workshops and shows aimed at children, and families are visible throughout the Village. The advocacy crowd is overwhelmingly positive and welcoming; just plan your timing around the kid-focused hours rather than the late-night concerts.
