Update, July 9: the festival has cancelled all balloon flights this year due to extreme wildfire risk. The rest of the program still happens: the free kids' workshops, the wind igloos, the markets and concerts, and the Night Glow on Saturday night (July 11), when the balloons light up to music from the ground. If you were coming for the dawn and dusk launches, those are off; if you still go, aim for Saturday evening.
Heads up for 2026: the festival has cancelled all balloon flights and launches this year because of extreme wildfire risk. The on-the-ground program still happens: free kids' workshops on recycling and the environment, wind igloos with daily activities, markets, live concerts, and the Night Glow on Saturday night (July 11), when the balloons light up to music without leaving the ground. In a normal year more than 50 balloons fly at dawn and dusk; this year the party happens with everyone's feet on the grass.
