Can we add the Masjoan Arboretum to the trip?

Yes, but it has its own paid entry. It holds the biggest group of monumental trees in Catalonia, including giant sequoias and the country's tallest fir, many over 40 meters high.

Warm layers and comfortable shoes. The whole fair is outdoors in the village streets, and inland Catalonia gets cold at this time of year.

About

Espinelves fills its village streets each year with stalls of live fir trees for the Fira de l'Avet, a popular Christmas fair. The trees are sold alive, so you can take one home and replant it in a pot or garden. Other stalls sell Christmas crafts, cured meats and cheeses, alongside herb and painting exhibitions and roving shows. It suits families happy to stroll and browse.
