Name: 7 Cycling Circuits and 100 Refurbished Bikes to Exchange
Start: 2026-05-31
End: 2026-05-31
Location: Passeig de Lluís Companys

Question 1

Do I need to bring a bike, or can we just show up and try the circuits?

Accepted Answer

You can absolutely show up without a bike. The circuits are open to anyone, and the bike exchange area is specifically for families who want to swap their kid's outgrown bike for one that fits better. If you don't have a bike at all, you might want to borrow or rent one beforehand, since the event is built around riding rather than watching.

Question 2

How long should we plan to stay?

Accepted Answer

The festival runs from 10am to 2:30pm, but you don't need to be there the whole time. Most families get the most out of it in 2 to 3 hours, especially with younger kids who'll want to do the painting workshop and try one or two circuits. Going early (before noon) means easier access to the bike exchange area before stock runs low.

Question 3

Is there parking at Passeig de Lluís Companys?

Accepted Answer

Passeig de Lluís Companys is right next to Ciutadella Park, and street parking is limited, especially on a busy event day. Traffic restrictions are also in place from 8:30am to 12 noon along the bike-ride route. Your best bet is the metro: take L1 to Arc de Triomf, which is a 2-minute walk away.

Question 4

What if my kid is still wobbly on a bike?

Accepted Answer

The circuits are designed for different skill levels, so there should be something low-key for beginners. If your child is just learning to balance, this might be more fun as a tag-along experience where they watch older kids and try the painting workshop rather than focusing on the riding part. The bike exchange area is still useful if you need a smaller or steadier bike to practice on.
