FGC Reina Elisenda (L12) is the closest station, about a 5-minute walk. From the L3 stops it's roughly 10 minutes uphill. The streets near the monastery are steep and cobbled, so a stroller works but it's a bumpy push.

How long do we need there?

Most families spend 45 minutes to an hour. You walk the arcades, sit by the garden, and let kids take in the courtyard. There's no programmed activity, so bring a snack or a book if your kids need something to do.

Is there anywhere to get water or use a bathroom?

There are bathrooms on site, and a small café near the entrance, though it's basic. Evenings can still be warm, so bring a water bottle.

The Pedralbes Monastery opens its cloister on summer evenings, one of the largest Gothic cloisters in the world. Built in 1327 by Queen Elisenda de Montcada, the three-story cloister shows Catalan Gothic architecture at its most spacious, with arcades around a quiet garden courtyard.
