It's about 100km north, roughly 75 to 90 minutes by car depending on traffic. If your kids are 5+, yes: the hands-on parts (grinding wheat, throwing spears, making fire) keep them engaged for the full 2 hours. Under 5 it's trickier, since there's some standing around listening and the site is outdoors with minimal shade.

What should we bring or wear?

Wear clothes that can get dirty, since kids will be handling flour, soil, and fire-starting materials. Closed-toe shoes are smart on an archaeological site. Bring water and sunscreen; the site is mostly open air with limited shelter.
