Do adults pay, and what about toddlers?

Adults and kids 5 to 12 pay €10.50, kids 3 and 4 pay €9.50. Under-3s who come with an older sibling can make a panellet for free. Every child must be with an adult.

About

Món Sant Benet is a medieval monastery in the Bages countryside, and for Castanyada season it tells the story of an old chestnut seller who lived in its woods. She brewed herbal cures, roasted chestnuts to keep bad spirits away and wrote her best recipes in a book, then put a spell on them, so the ingredients now read like troll nails, giant dandruff and bat blood. Kids follow the clues to decode the recipe, then turn it into a panellet, the small almond sweet Catalan families eat around All Saints' Day. It is spooky in a silly way rather than a scary one, which suits the younger end of the 3 to 10 range.

Notes: About 1 hour by car from Barcelona: take the C-58 to Terrassa, then the C-16 to exit 54 (Sant Fruitós de Bages, Navarcles) and follow the signs to the monastery. Without a car it is a long trip: the R4 train from Barcelona Sants to Manresa, then a taxi from the station.
