Question 1

Does it work for kids under 5?

Accepted Answer

That comes down to your kid's tolerance for crowds and noise. The street theater and clown acts work for toddlers, but the circus pieces and longer performances can lose them fast. A 3-year-old who sits through shows will do fine; one who needs constant movement will keep you busy instead of watching.

Question 2

Can we just show up, or do we need to book tickets in advance?

Accepted Answer

The street performances and beach shows are free to watch, so you can just show up. Check the full program on plederiure.cat for any theater act that asks for advance booking.

Question 3

What's the parking situation like at Ocata Beach?

Accepted Answer

Ocata Beach has a decent-sized parking area, but it fills up fast on summer weekends, especially during a festival. Get there early (before 11am) or consider taking the train from Barcelona, which is about 30 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya to El Masnou station, then a short walk to the beach.

Question 4

Can we get food and use bathrooms at the venues?

Accepted Answer

Ocata Beach has a few chiringuitos (beach bars) nearby where you can grab food and drinks, and there are public bathrooms. Vallmora Park is more of a green space, so bring snacks if you're planning to spend hours there. Don't count on a full meal situation at the park itself.
