Is it a sit-down show?

Yes. It's one program in the Teatre Ovidi Montllor, the Institut del Teatre's own theater, made of about a dozen short pieces back to back.

Will younger kids sit through it?

The pieces are short and switch between ballet, contemporary and Spanish dance, which helps. Under-5s may struggle with the late start and a full hour in their seats.

Dance at the Theatre Institute – Museum Night 2026

What you need to know

One seated show, not a walk-around: it's a single program in the Teatre Ovidi Montllor, so plan for kids to stay in their seats until the end.
Three dance styles back to back: about a dozen short pieces switch between classical ballet, contemporary and Spanish dance, so no one style runs long.
Students on stage: dancers from the Professional and Higher Conservatories, a good pick for kids who take dance classes themselves.

About

Students from the Institut del Teatre's two dance conservatories, the Professional and the Higher, share one stage in a mixed program of short pieces: classical ballet, contemporary dance and Spanish dance. It's the school's part of Museum Night. It suits kids who take dance classes themselves, or any kid curious to watch young dancers perform on a real theater stage.
