Question 1

Do I need to book ahead or can we just show up?

Accepted Answer

You have to reserve in advance. Go to the museum's booking page and grab your spots before the date fills up. It's only 3 euros per person, so it's cheap to book and cancel if plans change.

Question 2

Will my 6-year-old actually be able to dig, or will they get bored?

Accepted Answer

Six is the minimum age and it works, but honestly the kids who get the most out of it are 8 and up. At six they might need more hand-holding and get tired faster, but if your kid likes getting dirty and finding things, they'll have fun. Bring water and snacks just in case.

Question 3

What's the parking situation near El Born?

Accepted Answer

Street parking around Plaça Comercial is tight, especially on a Saturday evening. Your best bet is the underground car park at Parc de la Ciutadella, about a 5-minute walk away. Or take the metro to Jaume I (line 4) and walk a few minutes. Honestly, metro is easier than hunting for a spot.

Question 4

Should we bring our own tools or do they provide them?

Accepted Answer

Bring small gardening tools if you have them, like a hand trowel for digging or a soft brush. The workshop description specifically asks families to come prepared, so don't count on borrowing a set there.
