Is the Festival de la Infància happening in 2026?

It runs every year from December 27 to 31, but the 2026 dates, times and prices are not out yet.

Do adults need a ticket too?

Yes. Everyone over 1 year old needs a ticket, adults included, and babies under 1 get in free.

Is it OK for babies and toddlers?

Yes. The Espai Mini is set aside for kids up to 4. There is a stroller parking area in that zone, but it is not supervised.

Is there food inside?

Yes. There are food trucks, picnic areas and several food stands inside the venue.

Do kids need to speak Catalan or Spanish?

No. The festival is run in Catalan and Spanish, but most of the play areas need no language at all.

What you need to know

Two sessions a day: in 2025, 10am to 3pm or 4pm to 9pm, with only the morning session on Dec 31, when the festival counts down to New Year at noon

About

The Festival de la Infància has been a Barcelona holiday tradition since 1963. The giant halls of the Montjuïc fairgrounds turn into an indoor playground of more than 60 play areas, with games, sports, crafts and stage shows. Kids roam freely from zone to zone, and most activities need little language.
