What you need to know
- Sarrià in the morning, Les Corts after lunch: the cart race is the big morning draw, and Les Corts saves its giants, magic and fire for 5pm onward
- The correfoc and the fireworks are loud, so bring ear protection for small kids, or see the giants and head home before 7:30pm
- Outdoor acts can be called off for weather: after this month's storms, check the district pages on Monday morning
About
Two neighboring festes majors end on the holiday, both with a family program. Sarrià starts with its homemade cart race down the old main street and closes with an outdoor movie and a cold-fire show. Les Corts fills the afternoon with a magician, the giants' farewell dance and a correfoc, then ends with fireworks set to music. Do a morning in one, an evening in the other.

- 10am–12pmBaixada de Carros, SarriàHomemade carts with helmeted drivers race down the street, built for laughs as much as speed. Line the curb early for a view.
- 10:30am–1:30pmPopular culture morning, Les CortsTokatoms drummers, a sardana dance, and a castellers workshop and exhibition, as close as most kids get to a human tower.
- 12:30pmUn tren de cançons, Les CortsA sing-along show for little ones by kids' entertainer Jordi Tonietti, led in Catalan.
- 5pmMagic show with Mag Uri, Les CortsA family magic show in the square. Get there a few minutes early to sit near the front.
- 5pm–6pmGiants' last dance, Les CortsThe Les Corts gegants dance one final time to send off the festa. Tall enough to see from the back, even for small kids.
- 7pm–8:50pmOutdoor cinema: Zootopia 2, SarriàZootopia 2 on a big screen in the square, 107 minutes, for all ages. The program doesn't say which language; festa screenings are usually dubbed in Catalan. Arrive early for a good spot. It ends around 8:50pm, and Tuesday is a school day.
- 7:30pmCorrefoc, Les CortsDrumming in the square at 7:30pm, then devils and fire beasts run with sparklers to the Jardins de Magalí from 8pm. Watch from a doorway or a side street with long sleeves on.
- 8:30pm–10pmBall del Fanalet, SarriàA traditional lantern dance with live music by Calcetes Tradis, open to families who want to join in.
- 9:30pmPiromusical, Les CortsFireworks set to music close the Les Corts festa. Loud, so bring ear protection for small kids.
- 10pm–10:30pmCold-fire show, SarriàSarrià ends its festa with a show of cold fire, light and sound, the late finale for kids who are still awake.
