Question 1

Do I need to book tickets for the circus shows or can we just show up?

Accepted Answer

The circus shows are free but they have limited capacity, so it's first-come, first-served. If you want to be sure you get in, arrive early on Wednesday evenings. The concerts do require paid tickets (5 euros each or 12 euros for all three), so you'll need to book those in advance through the Roca Umbert website.

Question 2

Is there enough to do if my kid isn't into circus?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There's the De viu en viu installation where kids can create stuff based on live animal footage, plus food trucks and a DJ, so it's more of a hangout than just sitting through a show. If your kid likes interactive art or just wants to run around a plaza with food options, it works. The circus is the main draw on Wednesdays, but Thursdays are more open-ended.

Question 3

Can we come just for the circus and leave early?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's a drop-in evening in an open plaza, so you can catch the circus show and head home when young kids get tired.

Question 4

What's the parking situation like at Roca Umbert?

Accepted Answer

There's parking on-site at the venue, so you won't be hunting for street spots. It's in Granollers, about 30 minutes north of Barcelona by car, so factor that into your evening if you're coming from the city.
