Is this a circus show or more of a theater thing?

It's circus, but mixed with dance and puppetry, so it's not what you'd expect from a traditional big top. The two performers do acrobatics and physical stunts with clothes and objects, which keeps it visually interesting even though there's no dialogue. If your kid likes movement and visual storytelling more than plot, they'll get into it.

Will my 4-year-old sit through 53 minutes?

The action moves almost constantly and there's no talking to follow, so kids who like watching physical stunts usually stay with it. Bring a snack and sit near an aisle in case you need to step out.

Street parking around Sant Andreu fills up fast. The nearest car park is the Indigo at Plaça de Can Fabra; otherwise the metro is the easier option.

Sant Andreu has plenty of bars and cafes near the theater, but nothing fancy. There's no food service at the theater itself, so for the evening shows, plan dinner before or after.

Mixing circus, dance, puppets and sleight of hand, this wordless show follows two friends solving the mystery of missing socks in a surreal kingdom. Performers Mira Ravald and Luis Sartori do Vale turn everyday clothing into surprising creatures and shapes, designed by visual artist Helga Stentzel. The production is by Finnish company Portmanteau.
