If your kids are 9 or older and you have the morning free, Camins salvatges is genuinely different from typical kids' programming, so it's worth doing both if you're already in Figueres.

About 10 minutes on foot from the castle down into town. Doable with kids, but if you have a stroller or anyone who gets tired easily, leave extra time or stop for a coffee in between.

What if my kid gets restless during the 90-minute walking piece?

It is movement-based and happens outdoors through the castle grounds, so there is less sitting-still pressure than a theatre show. That said, 90 minutes is long for a 9-year-old who is not into dance or nature walks — if that sounds like your kid, the noon singalong alone is the better bet.

Is there parking at the castle or near the plaza?

The castle sits on a hill outside town and generally has easier parking than the plaza. For the singalong you are looking at street parking in central Figueres, which can be tight on a Saturday morning.
