Should we book ahead?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the workshops. Robotics sessions are €1 and the building contest is €3, each on top of a festival ticket, and they hold 10 to 16 kids. Festival tickets are good for one day only. Buying online also puts you in the daily LEGO raffle, drawn 15 minutes before closing.

Question 2

Is there anything for a 3-year-old?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The play area, included with entry, has loose bricks and coloring. LEGO Tangram, for ages 3 to 6, runs at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. Most other robotics sessions are for ages 6 and up, and the building contest for 7 and up.

Can we get there by train?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a bus for the last stretch. R13 and R14 trains currently stop at La Plana-Picamoixons after a cable theft, and a Renfe bus timed to the train runs on to Montblanc station, a 10-minute walk from the festival. The 7:30am R13 from Barcelona-Sants gets in around 9:15am. The last connection back to Sants leaves Montblanc at 6:46pm. Check rodalies.gencat.cat before you go.

Question 4

What else can we do in Montblanc?

Accepted Answer

Walk the medieval town walls, a few minutes from the festival. During Brickània they open 10am to 2pm and 3pm to 7pm, at a reduced price when you show your festival ticket. The walled old town is small and easy to wander between sessions.
