Start: 2026-05-21

Location: Multiple venues

Question 1

Do we need to go to all six towns, or can we pick one?

Accepted Answer

Pick one. Unless you're making a road trip of it, choose whichever town is closest or has the shows your kids will like. Not every town hosts the same acts, so check the full program on the festival website to see what plays where.

Question 2

Is this mostly outdoor stuff, or will we be stuck inside theaters?

Accepted Answer

It's mostly outdoors with multiple gathering spaces, which is great if the weather cooperates. But May in Girona can be unpredictable, so have a backup plan if rain hits. The website has details on which specific performances are outside versus in venues, so check before you go.

Question 3

How old do kids need to be to enjoy this?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the specific show. Some performances like Colectivo Casa·Teatro are listed as 'for all audiences,' while others like La Via Làctia recommend ages 10+. A few pieces are more experimental theater that might lose younger kids fast. Read the descriptions of the actual acts you're interested in rather than assuming the whole festival is one age group.
