Question 1

Will my kid sit through the whole film?

Accepted Answer

It runs about 90 minutes and moves fast, so most kids from about 5 up stay with it. The 12:20pm start means you are done before 2pm.

Question 2

When does the English session play?

Accepted Answer

The English (VOSE) session is back for one date at Mooby Balmes: Sunday, October 4 at 12:20pm. It ran every day through the summer and is now winding down, so check the date before you set off. Look for the VOSE label when you book, that is the original English audio with Spanish subtitles.

Question 3

Is Wednesday a good day to go?

Accepted Answer

Not for this film at the moment. Wednesday is the cheapest day at Mooby Balmes, 6.50 euros for everyone, but there is no English session on a Wednesday in its remaining dates. Kids under 13 pay 8 euros on any day.

Question 4

Is the cinema cold?

Accepted Answer

It is properly air-conditioned, a welcome relief on a hot afternoon. Bring a light layer for anyone who feels the chill.

Question 5

Can we eat near the cinema before or after?

Accepted Answer

Balmes and the streets around Plaça Kennedy have plenty of cafes and casual spots within a few minutes' walk, so you can grab something either side of the film.

Question 6

How do we get there?

Accepted Answer

Mooby Balmes is at the top of Carrer de Balmes near Plaça Kennedy. The FGC Avinguda Tibidabo and El Putxet stops are the closest trains, and there is a car park in the building.
