Can we get there easily by metro?

La Puntual is on Allada Vermell, a car-free pedestrian strip in El Born, about a 5 minute walk from Jaume I (L4) and 7 minutes from Arc de Triomf (L1). Parking nearby is tight, so metro is your best bet.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance or can we just show up?

Book ahead. La Puntual seats only around 50 people, so shows can sell out, weekends especially. Tickets are sold online through Entradium, and any remaining seats are sold at the venue.

What if my kid gets bored halfway through?

The theater is small and intimate, so leaving early is pretty doable without disrupting everyone. That said, the show switches between different puppet techniques, so there's enough variety that most kids find something to hold their interest. If your child tends to zone out during theater, this one's worth a shot because it's not just one style the whole time.

This family show combines hand puppets, marionettes, and Chinese shadow theater on one stage, an adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic tale told by the protagonist himself, with original music by Octavi Rumbau. It lands in a special year: 2026 marks 200 years since the birth of Collodi, the writer who gave Pinocchio life, and La Puntual, El Born's tiny marionette theater, is celebrating.
