It's designed for all audiences, so it's not gratuitously scary, but it does show what happened during the eruption. If your kid is sensitive to disaster scenes or loud sound effects, watch the trailer first or ask the staff about intensity level when you arrive. Kids 10+ usually handle it fine; younger ones depend on the individual kid. The VR part of the visit is recommended for ages 6 and up.

There's a parking lot nearby (Rius i Taulet), but it fills up on weekends. If you're driving, arrive before 11am or take the metro instead: L1 or L3 to Espanya, about a 7-minute walk. It's easier than parking and costs less.
