Upcoming: Pyrenees Bonfires Descend the Mountain in Bagà

Bagà's Fia-Faia is a UNESCO-recognized fire tradition in the Catalan Pyrenees. Fallaires light torches (faies) on the hillside above the village and carry the flames down the dark mountainside into Bagà. In Plaça Catalunya they light a great bonfire, then sing and dance around it. It is a late, cold night, so dress warmly and keep small children well back from the flames.
More family picks, Friday to Sunday.
