Do kids need to be into roses to enjoy it?

No. The competition itself is for breeders, but the weekend family activities are made for kids: puppet shows, face painting, and planting workshops.

What happens if it rains?

The family activities run outdoors in the rose garden, and the organizer doesn't publish a rain plan, so check the forecast before you go. The floral art demos and talks are in the main tent.

Can we drop in for just one activity?

Yes. One activity takes 30 minutes to an hour, or pair a planting workshop with the puppet show. The park is nice for a walk too.
