€46 a month for one day a week, or €75 a month for two, with 90-minute sessions. Enrollment and insurance are paid separately: €30 for under-16s or €48 from 16. If you only want to try it, a single day is €18.

From age 6, yes, but your child needs to be able to get around on a skateboard on their own, even for the beginners group. Skatia recommends one or two private lessons before joining any regular group, whatever the experience. The coach gets to see your child's level, teach or firm up the basics and pick the right group, and your child gets to know the coach first.

Yes. This provider is in Barcelona's Pla de l'Esport Escolar, so families with children up to 18 can apply to the city for help with the fees. What you get is means-tested and ranges from nothing up to 90% of the cost. You apply between September 15 and October 7, through the Oficina Virtual de Tràmits or by calling 010, and the provider gives you the activity code the form asks for.

At the La Marina skatepark in Zona Franca, one minute from Foc metro on L10. A group at Canyelles is due to start, with times still to be confirmed. There are no regular groups at Les Corts or Fòrum at the moment.
