What you need to know
Arts training in the Raval for kids who'd otherwise miss out.
- Build your own mix of ensembles, an instrument, dance or theater
- Borrow an instrument if your family doesn't own one
- Groups perform citywide, from Santa Eulàlia to La Mercè
- Premi Nacional de Cultura 2020, Catalonia's national arts award
- Pay what you can, agreed with the center in person at enrollment
About
A social music and performing arts center in the Raval, run since 2004 by the Fundació L'ARC Música, where kids and teens join choirs, orchestras, bands, percussion groups, dance and theater, and babies come with a parent to a weekly family music group. It is a social-inclusion project first: fees are adapted to what each family can afford, and priority goes to children who have no other route into the arts, including those referred by social services, neighborhood schools and local organizations.
