What you need to know
The Zoo casal for the quiet week between Christmas and New Year, for kids who want to help save animals.
- Four days before New Year's Eve: December 28 to 31, Monday to Thursday, sold as one block
- Morning or full day: pickup at 13:00, or stay for lunch and afternoon workshops with pickup at 16:15. Drop-off is from 8:50 at the Zoo's Parc de la Ciutadella entrance
- Book by December 9: sign-up is online, and Zoo Club members and large or single-parent families pay less. Have scans of a child photo, health card, vaccination record and a parent's ID ready
- Language: Catalan. If your child needs some English, ask when you book. The educators are Zoo staff and may be able to help, but the Zoo does not promise it
About
Barcelona Zoo's four-day casal between Christmas and New Year is all about biodiversity. Kids discover how many kinds of living things share the planet, what threatens them, and the small things everyone can do to help. They also see how modern zoos and scientists protect endangered species and their habitats. Mornings are spent with the animals around the grounds, afternoons on games, workshops and crafts.
