Will a 4-year-old sit through 50 minutes?

It is a quiet, poetic story rather than a high-energy show. The handmade puppets are staged up close, so there is plenty to look at. If your kid sits through picture books, you are probably fine.

How does the workshop work?

It is a 90-minute paper pop-up session run by the puppet company, on Saturday at 6pm, right after the 5pm show. It has its own €3 ticket on the L'Autèntica site, so you can book it with any showing.

Do we need to speak Catalan?

The show is in Catalan. Much of the story is carried by the puppets and the music, so kids who don't speak it can still follow the friendship between Ona and the heron.

About

Ona, a docker's daughter, plays among the containers of a busy port until she meets Punta, a blue heron that nests at the edge of the city each winter. Their friendship shakes up the neighborhood. A poetic puppet show by El ball de Sant Vito about city life, childhood and nature, inspired by the ideas of pedagogue Francesco Tonucci.
