Rebecca June's Peace is Possible! is a handbook, not a lecture. Seven ideas, one per color of the rainbow: community, creativity, education, equity, diversity, caring for the environment, non-violence. Émilie Gleason draws them as a crowd of odd, cheerful characters. The workshop takes it off the page. Kids start with the fights they know, whose turn it is, the sibling who will not leave, the classmate who stopped talking, then work through the seven themes by talking and making things. The point underneath: peace is something you practice, not what is left over once the shouting stops. Hosted by Nöpp, a Barcelona children's book publisher, at Backstory in the Eixample.
