This week's picks, 1 of 3: Catalan Book Week: Our English-Speaker Picks

The 44th Setmana del Llibre en Català turns Passeig de Lluís Companys, beside the Arc de Triomf, into a ten-day open-air book fair. Ninety-eight stands bring together 332 exhibitors and 282 publishing houses from across the Catalan-speaking world, with a deep children's and young-adult selection. More than 350 activities run across 11 program spaces, including a family stage, workshop area, reading spaces and a Petita Lectura corner for toddlers. Literary walking tours take small groups to the real settings of recently published books, often led by the authors themselves, with most routes in Barcelona. Admission to the grounds is free.
More family picks, Friday to Sunday.
