Question 1

Is this worth the drive from Barcelona with kids?

Accepted Answer

Reus is about 1 hour from Barcelona by car or train, so it's doable as a day trip if your kids are into circus. With shows spread across several venues, you can pick and choose what appeals to them rather than committing to a full day. If your kids get bored easily or are under 5, scout the program first because some shows are more experimental than family-friendly.

Question 2

What kind of circus acts should we expect?

Accepted Answer

This is contemporary circus, not traditional big-top stuff, so think acrobatics, street performance, cabaret, and experimental work from Catalan and international companies. It's more artistic and less "clowns and animals," which means older kids (8+) tend to get more out of it than younger ones. Check the program on their website to see specific acts before you go, because style varies a lot.

Question 3

Which shows are free?

Accepted Answer

The street performances and the Trapezi Elephant parade are free, so you can dip in without spending anything. The other shows are ticketed through 4tickets.es, with prices set per show.

Question 4

What if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

The program includes indoor shows, street performances, and tent performances, so there's something for any weather. If it rains heavily, stick to the indoor theater shows and covered tent performances rather than the street acts. Download the schedule from their website so you can pivot quickly if needed.
