- Corbera is the biggest in Catalonia: a 700 m forest walk with more than 200 actors, 30 minutes from Barcelona; tickets are online only and weekends sell out
- Smaller and cheaper nearby: Sant Fost has run since 1967 and is known for its special effects, and Sant Feliu del Racó in Castellar del Vallès charged €5 cash in 2025, under 12 free
- Rain-proof pick: Món Sant Benet stages its nativity indoors, inside a medieval monastery in Sant Fruitós de Bages
About
A pessebre vivent is a living nativity scene: a whole village, or a patch of forest, turned into Bethlehem for a few winter evenings. Neighbors play shepherds, angels and Roman soldiers, lit by torches and lanterns. Families walk from scene to scene in the dark, and for kids the walk is half the fun.
