Question 1

Will my 8-year-old stay engaged?

Accepted Answer

It's billed as participatory: kids mix substances and watch reactions happen in real time, not a sit-and-watch session. Expect it to be more hands-on than a typical museum talk.

Question 2

Is 4 euros the only cost, or do I need to buy museum entry too?

Accepted Answer

You'll also need a general museum ticket. Adult entry is 8 euros; kids under 16 enter free. So for one kid plus one adult, budget roughly 12 euros total (4€ workshop + 8€ adult entry).

Question 3

Do I need to book in advance or can we just show up?

Accepted Answer

Book online through the ticket link. CosmoCaixa gets busy on weekends and the workshop has limited capacity, so reserving ahead is the safe call.

Question 4

Is there parking at CosmoCaixa, or should I take the metro?

Accepted Answer

The museum is in the Penitents area with on-site parking, but it fills up on weekends. The metro is easier: take line 3 (green) to Penitents and walk about 10 minutes uphill. If you're coming from central Barcelona, metro beats hunting for a spot.
