Yes. A food area serves tapas from nearby restaurants, built around chestnuts and autumn produce, from midday.

Where do we pick up information on the day?

At the information point on Carrer Sant Marçal. Keep the slips you get with purchases at the stalls: you drop them there for a draw for a basket of fair produce.

Is there anything else to do in Viladrau with kids?

Espai Montseny, the village visitor center, shows short films about local legends of water spirits, bandits and witches. It has a small entry fee.

Every autumn the mountain village of Viladrau, in the Montseny, gives a whole weekend to the chestnut. The streets fill with stalls of chestnuts, local produce and crafts, with family shows, old village legends and guided walks into the surrounding woods. It suits families who like a slow day out in the country: eat, wander the stalls, then head into the forest.
