In 2025 everything was free with no booking. Arrive a little before the show you want, especially in the evening.

What is best for little kids?

The family mornings, 11am to 1pm in 2025. The shows are visual, with little talking, short enough for toddlers, and repeated so you can catch the next one if you miss a start.

What time are the evening shows?

In 2025 music ran from 7pm to 8pm and the choir show started at 7:45pm, with no evening show on December 24, 25 and 26.

What should we bring?

Warm layers. It is all outdoors, and the square gets cold once the sun goes down.

For about ten days around Christmas, Plaça de Catalunya becomes an open-air theater under a huge glowing stage set. The city's Christmas festival fills the square with free street theater, circus, dance and music from morning to night. Mornings are made for families: short visual-theater and object shows with little talking, repeated several times so there is always one about to start, and a concert to dance to at the end. Afternoons bring acrobats and jugglers, and evenings close with a big choir show.
