Do we need to sign up for anything?

Most of it is walk-in. Some activities have limited places and need registering ahead, so check the program on the Vic council site before you go.

Is there anything for teenagers?

Yes. Teens get writing workshops, comic-making and debates on book adaptations, plus a Rap & Poesia show by local secondary students guided by the rapper Jupyker.

Which exhibitions are on?

El museu imaginari, with work by more than 70 illustrators from across Catalonia, and a show on Pilarin Bayés, Roser Capdevila and Cesc with originals and sketches.

About

Canalla! is a new festival in Vic built around children's and teen books in Catalan. A fair of publishers, local bookshops and illustrators lines the town's ramblas, with signings at every stand. Around it run storytelling, theater, poetry and illustration exhibitions, including one on Pilarin Bayés, Roser Capdevila and Cesc. Younger kids get storytimes and word games; teens get comic and writing workshops and author meetups.
