The 44th Setmana del Llibre en Català turns Passeig de Lluís Companys, beside the Arc de Triomf, into a ten-day open-air book fair. Ninety-eight stands hold 332 exhibitors, from big publishers to small presses, 25 bookshops and a magazine tent, with a deep children's and young-adult selection. More than 350 activities run across seven program spaces, and 82 of them are family events: storytelling and short shows on the family stage, craft sessions in the workshop space, a reading area, and a Petita Lectura corner for toddlers. Twenty-five literary walking tours take small groups to the real settings of recently published books, usually led by the authors themselves, and 23 of those start in Barcelona. Admission to the grounds is free.
More family picks, Friday to Sunday.
