What's the correfoc like with kids?

There are two. The kids' correfoc follows the Banyetes d'Horta dragons from Plaça d'Eivissa and ends at Plaça de Santes Creus around 10pm. The Gran Correfoc runs until 11:15pm with guest groups and beasts, so it is louder and later. Long sleeves, closed shoes and a hat are the usual advice for both.

Is there anywhere to park, or should we take the metro?

Take the metro. Many streets on the parade and correfoc routes close during the festival.

What are the kids' activities like?

They are spread across the ten days, and the schedule lists each one by day. One that isn't there: a kids' magic show at Lluïsos d'Horta on Saturday September 12.

Do we need to stay the whole time or can we just drop by for an hour?

Drop by. Everything runs at set times across the ten days, and almost all of it is free, so pick one afternoon or evening that works for you.

Festa Major d'Horta is the neighborhood's festival for Sant Gaudenci, a feast the town of Horta vowed in 1731. Next to the street parades, fire runs and human towers, it runs a full kids' strand with hot chocolate, concerts and a smaller kids' correfoc. It suits families who want to drop in for an afternoon or an evening rather than follow the whole program.
