Is it a good fit for a 4-year-old?

Yes. The life-size models, the megalodon jaw and the shark skin are made for hands and eyes. The 3D scanner and the conservation panels suit kids 7 and up better.

Do kids need a ticket if they get in free?

Yes. Under-16s are free but still need a timed museum ticket, and they must come with an adult. The ticket covers the whole museum, so the sharks are part of a bigger day.

Hands-on, not just looking: kids touch a megalodon jaw and shark skin, scan anatomy in 3D and try a hammerhead's 360-degree view
Family guided visits for €3 extra, one of them for kids 8 and up, running until Dec 21
Conservation is part of the story, so older kids get more from the closing section than toddlers do

About

A walk through 450 million years of sharks, older than the dinosaurs, told with ten life-size models: the great white, the hammerhead and the extinct Helicoprion. Kids can touch a megalodon jaw and shark skin, scan a shark's anatomy in 3D and see the world through a hammerhead's 360-degree eyes. Also: an oceanarium built for the show, and why a third of species are at risk.

Under 16 free, adults €8 (museum entry)
