About

Laika, the stop-motion studio behind Coraline, adapts Colin Meloy's novel about Prue McKeel, who follows a murder of crows into a hidden forest after they snatch her baby brother. With her classmate Curtis, she finds talking animals, bandits and a fight over the woods. Travis Knight directs, with Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan and Mahershala Ali. Darker than Coraline, it suits brave older kids.
