What you need to know

  • Open-air on Montjuïc, with the concert stage set inside Poble Espanyol's village courtyards rather than a sterile arena.
  • Pop, rock, jazz and flamenco, spread across many separate evenings so you can pick a night that matches what your kids actually listen to.
  • Wander between sets, since the ticket lets you roam the village's plazas and lanes when younger ears need a break from the music.

About

Alma Festival Barcelona is a summer concert series staged in the open air at Poble Espanyol, the replica-village museum on Montjuïc. Across June and July it runs a long calendar of mostly evening shows by Spanish and international artists spanning pop, rock, jazz and flamenco, with each concert ticketed separately rather than a single festival pass. It's a general, adult-leaning programme rather than a children's event, but the open-air village setting can make a relaxed night out for music-loving older kids and teens: children up to 16 may attend, each with their own ticket and a signed parental authorization. Check the lineup for an artist your family already enjoys, then plan around a fairly late start time.
