Can my 8-year-old go into the haunted passages?

No. La Isla Maldita, La Muerte Viva, Angkor, El Carnicero de Penitence and REC Experience all need kids to be at least 12 and with an adult, or 14 to go alone. For younger kids, Truco o Trato in the China area is the park's children's passage, and under 12s go through with an adult.

Is the park open every day during Halloween?

The official calendar shows PortAventura Park open every day in late September from 10:30am, closing at 6pm on weekdays and later on weekends. October and November hours aren't shown on the calendar page yet, so check portaventuraworld.com/horarios-calendario before you book.

Can we get there by train from Barcelona?

Yes. PortAventura World has its own Rodalies stop on the R17 and RT2 lines, and Rodalies sells park tickets with the round-trip train included. Works between Garraf and Sitges have an alternative transport plan between Barcelona and Sant Vicenç de Calders, so check Rodalies before you leave.

Where do the littlest kids spend the day?

SésamoAventura, where Count Draco and the Sesame Street characters put on "1, 2, 3... ¡Ya es Halloween!" and Oscar hosts "Cuidemos el Planeta". The Halloween Magic Bubble show in the Temple Màgic is another good stop for families.

PortAventura Park runs its Halloween season from September 19 to November 15, 2026, and a big part of it is built for families. In SésamoAventura, Count Draco joins the Sesame Street characters in "1, 2, 3... ¡Ya es Halloween!", a music-and-dancing show made for the smallest kids, and Oscar hosts "Cuidemos el Planeta" about the 3Rs. In the China area, "Truco o Trato" is the park's first children's passage: families follow friendly ghosts through an enchanted forest of witches and fairies to a giant pumpkin, and kids come out with candy. The Halloween Magic Bubble show in the Temple Màgic fills the room with soap bubbles, the biggest about two meters wide, and every day ends with the Halloween Parade through Mediterrània. After dark, Horror en el Lago brings skeletons, fire, fountains and fireworks to the lake. The five haunted passages (La Isla Maldita, La Muerte Viva, Angkor, El Carnicero de Penitence and REC Experience) are for older kids and adults: the minimum age is 12 with an adult, or 14 to go in alone. They are paid extras on top of park admission.
