Do we need to sign up in advance or can we just show up?

Sign up first: the center's rules say every activity needs a reservation, and places are limited. This show is not on the online booking portal, so register in person at Centre Cívic Navas reception (Carrer de Las Navas de Tolosa 312). Registration opened on September 3. If you are not sure there is space, call 933 49 35 22.

What time does the show start?

The civic center's event page and program calendar list the party from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, but the show description in the same program and the city agenda say 5pm. Aim to be in Plaça Ferran Reyes by 5pm so you don't miss the start, or call the center on 933 49 35 22 when you register to confirm.

Does every family member need a place?

Yes. For family shows, the center's booking rules say every adult and every child needs their own reservation, and one person can make up to two.

How do we get to the square from the metro?

Head for Plaça Ferran Reyes, not the civic center building. Navas station on L1 is about a three-minute walk, and Camp de l'Arpa on L5 is about six minutes.

Will the chestnuts run out?

The hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts are free while supplies last, so turn up near the start rather than at the end if that is a big part of the draw for your kids.

About

An interactive mystery show for families, staged outdoors in Plaça Ferran Reyes as part of the Navas neighborhood's Castanyada celebration. Monet and Cirera love solving mysteries, and one rainy night they hear a strange noise in the garden and see something moving in the branches of a tree. It is no animal they recognize, so they decide to be brave and find out what it is. Sergi Perez and Maria Voronkova of Infestum Espectacles perform it as a mystery-and-adventure story for kids 6 to 12, mixing storytelling, music and audience detective work. Free hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts are handed out while supplies last.
