What you need to know

  • Hands-on workshops and children's activities mean kids stay engaged, not bored at stalls.
  • Food vendors on-site eliminate the hunt for lunch in an unfamiliar town.
  • Outdoor June timing works well; bring sunscreen and a hat for all-day comfort.

About

Every June 24th, the Fira de la Cirera d'en Roca honors the cherry harvest with direct sales from producers, cherry-based dishes, a craft fair, workshops, traditional lace-makers' gatherings, children's activities, competitions, and parades. The festival traces its roots to the 19th century when a mining family brought cherry seeds from France to Arenys de Munt after phylloxera destroyed local vineyards.
