Is this the same show as L'ombra de Pinotxo?

No. L'ombra de Pinotxo is La Puntual's own company show from earlier in October. This Pinocchio is a visiting production from the UK by Steve Tiplady, in its Barcelona premiere.

Is it part of a festival?

Yes, it is one of the shows in La Puntual's 21st International Puppet Festival, which brings in a different company each weekend.

My kid speaks neither English nor Spanish well. Will they follow it?

The text is in English and Spanish, but puppets, shadows, objects and music carry much of the story, and most kids know the Pinocchio plot already.

About

Steve Tiplady, a British puppeteer, plays Geppetto and builds Pinocchio live from the odds and ends of his carpentry workshop. Puppets, shadows and music carry the wooden boy past sly foxes and a giant shark as he learns to tell the truth. Much of it is improvised, so no two shows run the same. It suits kids who like watching how things are made as much as the story.
