Llevant Beach

• Quieter than the central beaches, sitting at the far eastern end past Diagonal Mar, so families get more room on the sand in summer
• Lifeguards and shallow entry through the bathing season, with wooden walkways and adapted showers that make it easy with strollers and small kids
• Summer dog-bathing area fenced off at the northern end (June to September), which kids often enjoy watching from the boardwalk

Barcelona's easternmost and newest beach, opened in 2006, stretching about 375 metres of wide sand at the far end of the seafront below Diagonal Mar. It has lifeguard towers, showers, public toilets, and wooden walkways out toward the water, plus a beach volleyball court at the western end. A fenced dog-bathing area runs along the northern stretch through the summer.
